Antonio Caetano Martins

Canada – Antonio Caetano Martins, age 91, passed away on Monday, February 11th at Mississauga Hospital in Ontario, Canada. Mr. Martins was the beloved widower of Eduarda (Melo). He is survived by his daughter, Connie Martins, wife of John, of Mississauga, Ontario Canada; 2 grandsons, Jordan and Justin Martins; a great-grandson, Nathan Martins; his brother Joao Martins of Canada and a brother-in-law, Louis Melo of Dartmouth as well as several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by 4 siblings.
Antonio was born in Sao Miguel, Açores, son of Conceicao (Pires) and Manuel Martins. He lived in New Bedford with his wife, Eduarda, before moving to Ontario. While living in New Bedford, Antonio worked as a Machine Operator at Mickey Madam Pocketbook Factory until his retirement.
Mr. Martins’ funeral will be Tuesday, February 19th at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth in New Bedford with visiting hours from 8:30 A.M – 10:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial to follow at Rural Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited.
