Balbina G. Rosa

New Bedford – Balbina G. Rosa age 84, passed away on Thursday, February 14th at the Sacred Heart Home in New Bedford. Balbina was the beloved wife of the late Jose Rosa. She was the loving mother of Fatima Rosario of New Bedford and Maria Ventura of Dartmouth. Mrs. Rosa is also survived by her grandchildren; Norbert Rosa, Sandy Medeiros, Ann Marie Freitas, Melanie Ventura, 5 great grandchildren, 7 siblings and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Rosa was predeceased by her son Jose Norberto Rosa, grandson Brian Rosario and 11 siblings.
Mrs. Rosa was born in Faial, Açores, Portugal daughter of the late Maria (Garcia) and Jose Silveira Jorge. She immigrated to this country in 1970 and worked as a Trimmer at Riverside Clothing until her retirement.
Mrs. Rosa’s funeral will be Saturday at 7:45 A.M.at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 8:45 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday evening from 5-9 P.M. Family and friends are invited.
