Rosalina "Luzia" Pimentel

Rosalina “Luzia” (Borges) Pimentel-85-passed away July 7, 2004. She was the widow of Joao P. Pimentel. She was the beloved mother of Jose Pimentel of Westport, Maria Carreiro of New Bedford, Manuel Pimentel of New Bedford, Fatima Duarte of New Bedford, Ernst Pimentel of New Bedford, Frank Pimentel of New Bedford, Rosalina Ponte of Dartmouth and the late Dinis Pimentel. Mrs. Pimentel also had 4 brothers; Jose Borges Medeiros, Antone Borges Medeiros, Joao Borges Medeiros(DECEASED) and Manuel Borges Medeiros(DECEASED); 3 sisters; Georginia Vieira, Maria Espirito Santo Cabral and Honoraria Valaria. She had 18 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She also had several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Pimentel was born in St. Michael, Azores, Portugal, daughter of the late Francisco Medeiros and the late Rosa (Borges) Medeiros. She had lived in this area since 1968. She worked at Calvin Clothing in New Bedford. She died surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Pimentel was a beloved mother and grandmother, her happiest memories were spending her time with her family, especially at Christmas.

Her Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, July 10, 2004 @ St. John the Baptist Church @ 10:00am. Family and friends are invited. Burial will follow @ St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Friday, July 9, 2004 from 6-9pm
