Jose Maria Dasilva

Jose Maria DaSilva-79-passed away July 1, 2004 @ St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the husband of Albertina (Duarte) DaSilva. He was the beloved father of Jose Manuel Silva fiancee of Melissa Robinson of New Bedford, Maria Manuela wife of Richard Marshall of New Bedford, Luizette wife of David Aubut of New Bedford and Yvette DaSilva of New Bedford. Mr. DaSilva also had 5 Granddaughters Stephanie Marshall, Kimberly Aubut, Michelle Aubut, Nicole Lenling and Lisa Aubut; and 2 Grandsons; Jared Silva and Cory DaSilva. He had a deceased brother and sister.

Mr. DaSilva has born in Olhao, Portugal, son of Manuel Maria DaSilva and Antonia (Inacia)DaSilva. He had lived in this area for 42 years. He worked as a Fisherman for the Fisherman’s Union. Mr. DaSilva enjoyed watching soccer matches on TV. He loved playing with his grandchildren, playing the lottery, going to the Taunton Dog Track, and watching bicycle races.

His Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, July 6, 2004 @ St. John the Baptist Church @ 9am. Family and friends are invited. Burial will follow @ St. John’s Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Monday, July 5, 2004 from 6-9pm.
