Maria Gloria (Araujo) Costa

New Bedford - Maria Gloria Costa, 90, of New Bedford, died Monday, June 21, 2004, at The Oaks Nursing Center. She was the widow of Elias Costa and the sister of the late Ana Medeiros, Maria G. Medeiros and Antonio Araujo. She is survived by a special Niece Maria L. Moniz of Dartmouth.

She was born in St. Michael, Azores, Portugal, the daughter of the late Jose Araujo and Inez (Motta) Araujo and lived in this area since 1968 . Mrs. Costa was a stitcher at Abetta Sportswear.

Her funeral will be Thursday June 24, 2004, from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Rivet St., New Bedford, MA. Visiting hours will be Wednesday June 23, 2004 from 6 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
