Candy Marie Souza

Fall River - Candy Marie Souza, age 52, died unexpectedly on November 28, at her home in Fall River. She was the loving mother of 2 children: Jay Souza and his fiancé Jessica Fernandes of New Bedford and Roger Medeiros of Westport. Ms. Souza had 3 siblings: Russell Luiz of Dartmouth, Manuel Luiz of Dartmouth and Rowena Luiz of Mattapoisett. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ms. Souza was born in New Bedford, daughter of Eleanor (Medeiros) Luiz and the late Manuel Luiz. She worked as a Bookkeeper for Carlos Seafood in New Bedford. Candy was loved by her children, Jay and Roger, and will be missed by her family and friends who knew her best.
Candy’s visiting hours will be Wednesday at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St in New Bedford from 6 – 8 P.M. In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family.
