Alan Ross Sr.

New Bedford – Alan Ross Sr., age 63, died Sunday, November 11, 2012 at home. He was the beloved husband of Donna (Wilson) Ross. Mr. Ross was the loving father of Alan Ross Jr. and Timothy Ross of New Bedford, Kelly Ross of Fall River, and Megan Ross of Fairhaven. He was the brother of Marianne Tissari of Virginia, Daniel Ross of Rochester and Edwin Ross Jr. of New Bedford. Mr. Ross was also the loving grandfather of Cameron Stapleton, Makaela Helley, Jaron Stapleton, and Meadow Helley. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Ross was also predeceased by 2 children Alan Ross Jr. and David Alan Ross.
Alan was born in Wareham, son of the late Edwin Ross and Evelyn (Sleightholm) Ross. He was a graduate of Old Rochester Regional High School. He was an automobile mechanic at Hiller Chrysler & Co. Mr. Ross also served proudly in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Ross’ visiting hours will be at the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. New Bedford, MA on Tuesday, December 4th from 6-8P.M., relatives and friends are invited. Burial of his cremains will be at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. In lieu of flowers donations to the family will be greatly appreciated.
