Alexandrina (Pereira) Eugenio

New Bedford – Alexandrina (Pereira) Eugenio, age 74 years, died Thursday, September 20, 2012 after a long illness at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Jose Eugenio of New Bedford. Mrs. Eugenio was the loving mother of Jose M. Eugenio and Rita Eugenio wife of Joshua Wordell both of New Bedford. Alexandrina was the grandmother of Jeremi and Joshua Wordell. She was a sister of Albertina wife of the late Luis Sousa, Mario R. husband of the late Maria L. Pereira, Francisco Pereira and his companion Fatima Soares, Otilia wife of Manuel Darosa, Maria Lourdes wife of Antonio Faria, Jose Pereira husband of Fatima, Eduardo husband of the late Maria J. Pereira, the late Alberto Pereira, the late Angelina Maria Pereira, the late Jose Francisco Pereira and the late Francisco Herculano Pereira. Alexandrina is also survived by her brother and sister in-laws Carlos and Noelia Eugenio, Lydia Maria Matos and Maria of Canada, and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Eugenio was a daughter of the late Maria L. Pereira and Francisco R. Pereira. She was born in Faial, Açores and lived in this country for 44 years.

Mrs. Eugenio’s funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. on Thursday at 9:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 5 - 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
