Evelyn (Sylvia) Pina

Lakeville — Evelyn (Sylvia) Pina, 95, of Lakeville, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 4 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel Isadore Pina.
Evelyn was born in Dighton, ma but has lived in this area for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Mary Irene (Dupont) and the late Manuel Duarte Sylvia both of Portugal. Mrs. Pina was a proud homemaker for her two children
Survivors include two children; daughter Irene P. Sampson, wife of Everett, from Sanford, North Carolina and her son Lawrence M. Pina, husband of Marianne, of Westport, Ma. She was the loving grandmother of Robert Bochman husband of Elizabeth of Connecticut, Michael Bochman husband of Lorraine of New Bedford, Eric Bochman husband of Lisa of Mississippi and Kevin Bochman husband of Elizabeth of Lakeville; great grandmother of Aaron Bochman, Ryan Bochman, Joshua Bochman, Sean Bochman, Lucas Bochman, Brooke Bochman, Zachary Bochman, Eric Bochman, Casey Bochman, Emily Blackwell, Kerrin Bochman and Nicole Bockman. She also survived by 7 great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and a former son in–law Robert A. Bochman.

Mrs. Pina’s funeral service will be at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St New Bedford, MA. Friday at 12:00 P.M. Visiting hours will be held one hour prior to service friom 11:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Southcoast VNA services or St. Jude's Children Hospital.
