Angelina "Angie" Medeiros

New Bedford Angie Medeiros, age 79 years, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 20th, 2012 at the Oaks Nursing Center in New Bedford. She was the widow of Leo Medeiros. She was employed for many years as a stitcher at the Star Store and worked for the food services department at UMASS Dartmouth until retiring last year. Angie was happiest when working at “the college” and kicking up her heels at the Roseland Ballroom.

Angie is survived by her daughter Debra Beaulieu and husband Marcel of Acushnet, sons Lee Medeiros of Fall River, Michael Medeiros and Kevin Medeiros both of New Bedford and the late Valerie Medeiros. She was also the sister of Dorothy Shope of Fairhaven.
Angie’s final goodbye will be on Wednesday, August 22 at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. from 5 - 7 P.M. Her funeral will be on Thursday at 9 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi at 10:00 A.M. Flowers are omitted. Remembrances may be made to Beacon Hospice of Fall River.
