Ralph M. Dupont "The Old Man"

New Bedford – Ralph M. Dupont “The Old Man”, age 72, passed away at The Oaks Nursing Home in New Bedford on Thursday, July 26, 2012. Mr. Dupont was the father of JoAnn Woodis or Fairhaven, Linda DaPonte of New Bedford, Michael Dupont of Dartmouth, Melissa Katz of Lexington, Ma, Manuel “Manny” Dupont of New Bedford and Carl Dupont of New Bedford. He is also survived by his siblings Robert Dupont, Beverly Cuddy and Brenda Dupont. Mr. Dupont has six grandchildren Joshua, Jenna, Darcie, Jeremy, Devin, Kyleigh and two great-grandchildren Ethan and Emma. He has several nieces and nephews

Mr. Dupont was a son of the late Deolinda (Tavares) DaPonte and the late Manuel Daponte Jr.. He was born in New Bedford and has lived in this area all his life. He was the proprietor of Corner Variety and also dealt in real estate
Mr. Dupont will be cremated according to his wishes. Visiting hours will be Friday, August 3 from 3-5 P. with a service to begin at 3:00 P.M. Arrangements are by Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. New Bedford, Ma.
