Frank Mello

Frank Mello, age 85, passed away at Royal Taber Street Nursing & Rehab Center on Wednesday July 18, 2012. He was the beloved husband of the late Elinor (Ponte) Mello. Mr. Mello was the father of Linda Pacheco and her husband Ronald of North Dartmouth. He is also survived by his brothers George Mello of Hemet, CA, and Anthony DeMello of Ashland, OR, sisters Lillian Mello and Julia Mello both of New Bedford, Grandsons Ronnie P. Pacheco and Barry Pacheco and his wife Jessica and also his great-grand child Adyson Pacheco and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Mello was predeceased by his brother John Mello and sisters Alice Andrade and Mary Mello.
Mr. Mello was a son of the late John Mello and Julia (Chaves) Mello. He was born in New Bedford and has lived in this area all his life. Mr. Mello was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and a member of The Loyal Order of the Moose for over 50 years. He worked for Luzo foods in their warehouse department.
Private services and burial of cremains were held on friday the 27th.
