Dartmouth – David G. Goulart, 60, died, Sunday, July 15, 2012 at St Lukes Hospital. He was the beloved husband of 35 years to Ann (Valadas) Goulart of New Bedford, his lab and best buddy Cody ,brother of Thomas Goulart of New Bedford, niece Tara Ford and godfather of Steven Goulart, Benjamin Pereira, John Capitao and Julien Capitao, great nephews Hayden and Jackson Ford, great niece Cassandra Capitao, aunts Phyllis Arruda, and Irene Mello uncle Adrian Mello along with many cousins.
Mr. Goulart was born in New Bedford and was the son of the late Inez (Arruda) and Edwin Goulart. He worked as a Customer Service Representative for A. T & T until his retirement and was an Assistant Deputy Shellfish Warden for the city of New Bedford in the past. David was a Graduate of New Bedford High School and Salve Regina University.
Mr. Goulart was a lifetime member of both the New Bedford Rod and Gun Club and Fall River Rod and Gun Clubs and also the New Bedford Rifle and Revolver Club. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. Mr. Goulart loved music and his 55 Chevys.
Mr. Goularts’ funeral will be Thursday at 9:45 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Julie Billiart Church at 11 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. His visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 5-8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowerts donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
