Margarida F. Dasilva

New Bedford - Margarida (Ferraz) DaSilva , 82, of New Bedford, formerly of North Dartmouth, died Friday, May 7, 2004, at Taber Street Nursing Center surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Francisco DaSilva. She was the mother of Francisco M. DaSilva of N. Dartmouth, Maria Regina Sylvia wife of John Sylvia of New Bedford and Olga M. Rodrigues wife of the late Emanuel Rodrigues of S. Dartmouth. She had 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Mrs. DaSilva was the sister of Ana Avila of New Bedford.

Mrs. DaSilva was born in Terceira, Azores, Portugal and lived in this area since 1961. She was the daughter of the late Francisca Martins Ferraz. Mrs. DaSilva worked at The Pajama Factory as a stitcher.

Her funeral will be Tuesday, May 11, 2004, from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Rivet St. New Bedford, MA. Visiting hours will be Monday, May 10, 2004 from 7 - 9 P.M. at the funeral home.
