Gilbert S. Branco

Smithfield, RI – Gilbert S. Branco, age 77 years, formerly of Dartmouth, died Saturday, May 26, 2012 at the North Bay Retirement Living Facility in Smithfield, RI. He was the beloved husband of Hilda B. (Mello) Branco. Mr. Branco was the beloved father of Christopher Branco, of California, Steven Lunny husband of Patricia, of New Bedford and Colleen Rodrigues wife of Anthony, of Smithfield RI. Gilbert is also survived by his grandchildren Sarah Gussis wife of Glenn, Zachary Lunny, Brian Rodrigues, Jennifer Rodrigues and great granddaughter Lylah Gussis.

Mr. Branco was the son of the late Stella (Barboza) and Jesse Branco. Gilbert was formerly employed as a Lab Tech at Cornell Dubilier. Mr. Branco also coached Dartmouth youth sports for many years.

Mr. Branco’s funeral and burial were private. Arrangements were by the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. New Bedford, MA.
