Rosa Borges

New Bedford-Rosa Borges died Sunday April 25, 2004 at the Hathaway Manor Extented Care Facility. She was the widow of Joao Borges. She was the mother of AntonioJ.R. and his wife Isabel Borges of New Bedford. She was the mother of Maria Isabel Borgesof Portugal. She was the loving grandmother of Michelle, and Susanna Borges, and AlvaroPereira. She was the sister of Estrela Pereira Moco, and Maria Reibeiro Cura, both ofPortugal. She was also survived by several nieces, and nephews.

Mrs. Borges was born in Figueira da Foz. She was the daughter of the late Pedro Rebeira and Gracinda (Pereira) Novo. She immigrated to the United States in 1966, lived in New Bedforduntil 1990, when she moved back to Portugal upon her retirement in 1990. She returned herein January of 2003. She was a stitcher, at a local dress factory until her retirement.

Mrs. Borges visiting hours will be Tuesday April 27, 2004 at the Perry Funeral Home111 Dartmouth St. from 6-8 P.M. Her burial will be in Figueira da Foz, in accordance toher wishes.
