Jose Costa

New Bedford –Jose D. “Narciso” Costa age 84 years, Died April 21, 2004 at home. He is survived by his wife Sara (Medeiros) Costa, 3 Daughters; Artemisia, de Sousa, Dora de Melo and Lillian Eccleston and a Son Jose Manuel Costa all of New Bedford a late Brother Joao deMelo Costa and a Sister Iberia Moreira of Victoria B.C. He is also survived by 13 Grandchildren and 12 Greatgrandchildren and Several Nieces and Nephews

Mr. Costa was born in Ribeira Quente,St. Michael, Azores, he lived in this area since 1966. He was the son of the late Jose deMelo and Julia (deJesus) Costa. He was a packer at Tichon Corporation and was previously a fisherman in the Azores

His funeral will be Friday April 23, 2004, from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 9:30 A.M. with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Rivet St., New Bedford, MA. Visiting hour will be Thursday, April 22nd, in the Evening from 5 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
