Elsie (Motta) Pacheco

New Bedford - Elsie (Motta) Pacheco, 86, of New Bedford, died Saturday, April 17, 2004, at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Manuel Pacheco. Mrs. Pacheco was the mother of Rick Pacheco, husband of Cynthia of New Bedford and Doreen Bennett, wife of Richard of New Bedford, 3 grandchildren, Dawn Vilandry, Keith Bennett and Maxwell Pacheco and 3 great grandchildren, Aimee, Lindsey and Julia Vilandry. Mrs. Pacheco was the sister of Hilda Lima, Cecilia Borges and Anna Gaudet all of New Bedford. She was also sister of the late George Motta, Mary Carvalho, Grace Ramos and Manuel Motta Jr.

Mrs. Pacheco was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of her life. She was the daughter of the late Manuel Motta Sr. and Mary (Oliveira) Motta .Mrs. Pacheco was a loving, kind and dedicated wife, mother , grandmother and great grandmother. She was happiest when she was with her family and was loved by all she touched.

Mrs. Pacheco's funeral will be Wednesday April 21, 2004, from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Church, County St. New Bedford, MA. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, April 20, 2004 from 6 - 9 P.M.
