She is the mother Ricardo Costa of New Bedford, Edmundo Costa of St. Michael, Azores, Rosa deSousa of New Bedford, Ivone Costa of St. Michael, Azores. Mrs. Costa was the sister of Jacintho Valentin of Fall River, Liberal Valentin of St. Micheal, Azores, and of the late Patricia Costa and Antonio Valentin. Also she was the grandchildren Richard Sousa, Patricia Sousa, Nadia Costa, Elizabeth Costa, and Several Nieces & Nephew,.

Mrs. Costa was born in St. Michael, Azores, she lived in this area 22 years.. She was the daughter of the late Jacinto and Maria Rosa (Cabral) Valentin. She was a homemaker.

Her funeral will be Monday April 12, 2004, from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 230 Bonney St., New Bedford, MA. Visiting hour will be Sunday Evening from 6- 8 P.M.
