Alfred P. Cordeiro

New Bedford - Alfred P. Cordeiro, 89, of New Bedford, died Saturday, April 3, 2004, at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Maria N. (Neto) Cordeiro. Mr. Cordeiro was the father of Alfred Cordeiro and Shirley McCarty both of California. He has several deceased brothers and sisters. He is also survived by two grandchildren Briel Cordeiro and Sheri Dorloz, and two great grandchildren as well as several niceces, nephews and godchildren.

Mr. Cordeiro was born in Povocao, St. Michael, Azores, Portugal, the son of the late Manuel Raposo and Maria C. (Raposo) Neto. Mr. Cordeiro moved to The United States in 1969, living in California prior to moving here to the New Bedford area.

His funeral will be Wednesday, April 7, 2004, from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 9 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Church. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, New Bedford, MA. Family & friends are invited.Visiting Hours will be Tuesday , April 6, 2004 from 5 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home
