James R. "Jimbo" Domingos Sr.

New Bedford-James R. “Jimbo” Domingos Sr. age 67 years, died Saturday February 18th, at St. Luke’s Hospital after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Sharon (Olejarz) Domingos. James was the loved father of Jayme Brunette and her husband Ronald, Cheryl Domingos and her fiancé Scott Almeida, James R. Domingos Jr. and his wife Tammy, Heather Amaral and her husband Joseph they are all of New Bedford. James was the brother of Sandra Domingos and Barbara Domingos both of New Bedford. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Tyler, Jeffrey, Brandon, Joshua and Christopher. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Domingos was a son of the late Hilda (Machado) and Antone Domingos. He was born in Acushnet and lifelong resident of New Bedford. He was employed by Quality Oil Company as a truck driver until his retirement. Jimbo also worked as a roofer for many years. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose.

Mr. Domingos’ Funeral will be Thursday, at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 9 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church at 10 A.M. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Wednesday evening from 4-8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
