William M. Britto Sr.

New Bedford-William M. Britto Sr. age 78 years, who died Saturday February 4, 2012 peacefully at St. Luke’s Hospital. William was the beloved husband of Lorraine (Sunderland) Britto. He was the loved father of William M. Britto Jr. of New Bedford, Dorine Charamba and her husband Joseph of Taunton, Loretta Nguyen and her husband Dinh of Fairhaven and Catherine Gibbons and her partner Ted Vieira of New Bedford. Bill was the brother of Peter Britto, Louise Anacleto both of New Bedford and the late Abraham Britto. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Britto was a son of the late Peter J. and Rose Nunes (Cruz) Britto. He was born in New Bedford and was a lifelong resident. He was employed by Sturtevant & Hook for 31 years as a truck driver, until his retirement.

Mr. Britto’s Funeral will be Wednesday, February 8th at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 11 A.M. with a Religious Service at 12 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting will be Tuesday evening from 5-8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
