Alice Mendonca (Pacheco) Oliveira

New Bedford- Alice Oliveira, age 94 years, died Tuesday, January 17, 2012 atNew Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife and the late Antonio C. Oliveira. She was the loved mother of George Oliveira of S. Dartmouth and David Oliveira and his wife Margaret of Oak Bluffs Martha's Vineyard and the late Paul Oliveira. Alice was the loving grandmother of Alicia Oliveira. She was the sister of Jose and George Mendonca, Ernestina Mendonca and Adelina Couto. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Oliveira was a daughter of the late Maria dos Anjos (Sousa) and Mariano Pacheco Mendonca. Alice was born in New Bedford. She was a stitcher at Mickey Madan Pocket Book Factory until her retirement.

Mrs. Oliveira’s funeral was from Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. a Funeral Mass was celebrated Friday at St. Mary’s Church, So. Dartmouth Burial followed at St. John Cemetery.
