Robert Wayne Docca

New Bedford –Robert Wayne Docca, age 66, died December 2, 2011 at Home with his family by his side. Robert was the husband of Frances (Morin) Docca of New Bedford, they were married for 45 years. He was the father of Kevin M. Docca and his wife Lisa of Fairhaven, Brian W. Docca of New Bedford, and Sherri Lee Docca and her companion Joshua Zak of New Bedford, grandfather of Raegen, Hailey, Logan, Madison, and Olivia. He was the brother of the late Rita Docca.

Mr. Docca was a son of the late Evelyn (Freitas) Docca. Robert was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all his life. He worked at Georges Antiques Refinishing Furniture. Mr. Docca was an avid pool player and also enjoyed watching sports.

Mr. Docca’s funeral will be Tuesday at 9:15 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., with a Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at St. Joseph/St. Therese Church in New Bedford at 10:30 A.M. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday from 5 - 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
