David B. Acucena

New Bedford.–David B. Acucena, age 64 years, died Sunday, November 6, 2011, at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was a son of the late Alice (Budd) and Joao Acucena. David was the loved father of Ross W. Acucena and Kurt Acucena, loved grandfather of Leah, Caleb, Brody, Liam, Gabrielle and Silas. He is also survived by 2 sisters; Jane Amaral and Elizabeth Acucena.
He was born in Acushnet and lived in this area all of his life. He worked as an Equipment Superintendent at D.W. White Construction where he was a long time employee. David was an Eagle Scout and a U.S. Navy Veteran of Vietnam. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be remembered by many for his willingness to help others.
Mr. Acucena’s New Bedford-David B. Acucena age 64 died Sunday November 6th, at St. Luke’s Hospital. David was a son of the late Joao and Alice (Budd) Acucena. Mr. Acucena’s Funeral cortege will meet Saturday at D.W. White parking lot at 867 Middle Rd. Acushnet for 10:30 A.M. We will then go in procession to Long Plain Cemetery Main St. Acushnet where his service will start at 11 A.M. David will be buried with Full Military Honors.
