Elsie D. (Dalmar) Brown

New Bedford – Elsie D. Brown age 94 years, died peacefully Monday at the Royal Taber Street Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Edmund J. Brown. She was the loved mother of Curtiss Brown and his wife Cynthia of Portsmouth, RI. and Janice Wotherspoon of Apematise, VI. Elsie was the beloved grandmother of David and Stephen and his wife Heidi (Costa) Brown; great-grandmother of Matthew and Lillian. She was the sister of Louise Pearson. She is also survived by 2 nieces Mary Beth McMahon and Deborah Woodhouse.

Mrs. Brown was a daughter of the late Manuel P. and Mary Silviera (Costa) Dalmar. She was born in New Bedford and was a lifelong resident of New Bedford and Dartmouth. She was a Medical Secretary with Doctors Radcliffe, Bullard and Gardner until her retirement.

Mrs. Brown’s funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. on Saturday at 8:45 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Mary Church Dartmouth, at 10 A.M. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday from 5-7 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
