Shirley T. (Sunderland) Levine

Boston – Shirley T. Levine, age 80 years, died Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Brigham and Women's Hospital. She was the wife of Howard A. “Benny” Levine of New Bedford. Mrs. Levine was the mother of Loretta Bieu of New Bedford, John Nunes of Dartmouth, Donna Freitas of Asbury Park, NJ. and Sharon Otero of New Bedford and sister of Lorraine Britto of New Bedford. Shirley was the sister of the late John Sunderland and Barbara Gonsalves. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Levine was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of her life. She was the daughter of the late Squire and Mary E. (Kubit) Sunderland.

Mrs. Levine’s arrangements were by the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. Interment of her ashes will be at the convenience of the family.
